We sat down and the waitress met us promptly and got our drink order and I asked did they have a menu. Checkered table cloths and the smell of pizza all around. When we arrived the place was exactly what I had hoped for it specialized in nothing other than pizza. We read quite a few and decide this is the place. So I decide to google best pizza in New Orleans and Tower of Pizza comes up with 73 reviews. I'm glad I got to try this place, but I doubt I'll be back.So my wife and I were sitting at the children's school waiting for them to be dismissed and we were trying to figure out where to eat pizza since we both live in Houston. For example, there's another local place- Theo's Pizza, right across the street and they have better prices and more options. This spot is a Metairie classic, but there are better options out there. They were generous with the cheese and I did like how big the mushrooms are. I didn't really like that the pepperoni was under the cheese, so it didn't have a chance to crisp up in the oven. The pizza was good, but was it $22 good? No. We ordered the Tower Special, which came topped with sausage, pepperoni, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. How hard would it be to just have some canned tea in the fridge for people who want it? There's no bread or anything like that, which we found kind of odd and they also didn't have tea on the menu. The menu is pretty basic: you got pizza, salad and spaghetti. tables and chairs and a window looking into the kitchen. The place is about as basic as a pizza parlor gets: it's located in a strip mall and it's a 'seat yourself' place with. I had heard raves about this spot from pizza lovers, so David and I decided to check it out for dinner.
